Shadow Wings is a striking mixed-media project built from multiple MDF circles, coming together into one bold, eye-catching composition. the design is based on the contrast between delicate florals and raw industrial elements, finished with the dramatic steampunk dragonfly or moth taking centre stage.
During the class, we will build beautiful, intentional layers using clock parts, gears, flowers and leaves, combining them into a cohesive, grungy yet inspiring composition. Finn will guide you step by step through the entire process, focussing on composition, layering and a thoughtful approach to painting that brings everything together and enhances the dimensional effect.
This class is perfect if you’d like to explore unusual compositions, gain confidence with layering, and learn how to work with sparkle and metallic products without fear.
You will work with a wide range of innovative products from Art Basics, Art Alchemy, and Art Extravagance lines, and there is plenty of room for personal interpretation. multiple colour versions are possible, so every student can create that feels truly their own. This class is suitable for all skill levels, offers lots of creative freedom, and is all about building both skills and confidence in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere.
